Classes At Halifax Aikikai
- Classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights.
The following is NEW!

During the 'school year', beginners practice from 6:00 pm to
7:00 pm and advanced class runs from 7:05 pm to 8:00 pm.

NEW!: During the 'summer' term (May-Aug), there is a single class
that runs from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm (75 minutes).
- Saturday's practice, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, is open to all members,
but is geared towards more advanced techniques and more energetic
practice. Good, solid ukemi (rolling/falling) is required to
participate. If you are in doubt about whether you should
participate, please speak to one of the instructors.
- Second class on Mondays is frequently a weapons class.
- Second class on Fridays may be directed towards higher-kyu rank test material.
- Please note that we only offer adult classes.
Students must be at least 16 years old (as designated
during the 2007 AGM) .

Feel free to watch a class or participate in one; we recommend watching at least
one class before deciding to try to participate.

Club Fees:
Regular - $35/Month ($140/Term)
Student - $25/Month ($100/Term)

Note that the fees increased in January 2008 from previous years.
- Note that the Visitor Fee, new as of January 2009, has been
cancelled.
Fees are normally paid in 4-month installments. New students can pay for
the first month by itself in order to try out the club. Following the
first month, the remainder of the term and any subsequent terms should be paid
in the regular 4-month installments.
There are annual registration fees of $20 for the Canadian Aikido Federation
(up from $15, as of Jan 2009) and $10 for the Nova Scotia Aikido
Federation.
